“It is, I feel, our apparent reluctance to recognize the interrelated nature of the problems and therefore the solutions, that lies at the heart of our predicament and certainly on our ability to determine the future of food.”
— HRH Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales
A little homework assignment if you have time – I need to do it too: check out this treatise, The Prince of Wales’ Speech: On the Future of Food, which just became available in book form on February 14, 2012. (Already a fan of his pie, as I’ve mentioned in other posts.) We may not need to spring for a paper copy, however. There are lots of excerpts on the site and video clips of him delivering this renowned speech. HRH has made food sustainability his signature issue and done some amazing things to forward availability of better food products in the UK. And it is not like he has come around to this lately, he has been practicing what he preaches about organic farming for over 30 years.
The Book
